} curate farewell
curate vintage co. came to be when I was standing in the dishes room where I operate my vintage tablescape rental company. the question I asked was, "what is to become of the all of these dishes?!" and then the idea landed! but that idea and inspiration has come to the end of it's half life.
Oh, how I wish there was an easy formula for ideas and inspiration. In reality, there are more ideas and inspirations available to me than I can live out in this lifetime. And for that, I am grateful. My idea for curate vintage co. was to help vintage lovers set tables and to create a movement to gather and cultivate loving relationships while hosting some dinner parties. I recognized that hosting dinner parties was something I desired but didn't do myself. And I recognized that sometimes the best way to learn is to teach. So I began a new arm of my vintage company and I set about putting beautiful things in place. It turned out that the work I did was a part of a beautiful plan to hold me up and sustain me while my marriage of over 23 years was coming to an end. And again, I am grateful.
I also recognized that the parts of this idea that I thought would be the most joyful seemed to be the most tedious. I kept asking “why?”. And my best idea of an answer was “not the right time”. So I postponed progress. Finally, I sat down over a course of time and journaled. What I discovered was that the full execution of this idea did not align with my lifestyle and energy. Whew! There was my true answer.
For now, I’ll keep the tablescapes I designed available for purchase at a discounted price. But this will be my last journal entry here, and my social media will fade. Your reading this tells me that your energy is supportive. I am grateful for you.
